'Hilton Head's Best Live Music'

Trillium are

  • Annie Thompson - Guitar & Vocals (oh and that shaker thingy)
  • Rich Vuillemot Guitar & Vocals
  • Steve Richard - Guitar & Vocals
  • Annie, Rich, and Steve enjoy performing the cover tunes they love so well, but they essentiallly met with mutual goals of focusing on songwriting. Trillium's sound has become quite contagious, as a result with a very busy schedule, they continue to aspire to their own original sounds. Some of these songs can be sampled on this web site.

Born and raised in th New England coastal area, Annie has since made her home for nearly ten years, on the southeastern coast of SC. Music and art had always been an important part of her life. During her high school years growing up in Connecticut, Annie began songwriting and playing in an acoustic duo. She studied nursing and psychology in college, and once again found herself performing in a duo different venues in Newport,RI. After graduating, she moved to the Boston area where she worked in intensive care for nearly fifteen years. During this time, Annie studied recreational art with a popular New England watercolorist, and played out in several venues in Newburypor, MA area.

Annie resides in Hilton Head with her family where she met her band counterparts, Rich and Steve. They call their trio "Trillium" (a three-leaf wild flower) and enjoy embellishing in the harmonies of so many artists of the 7O's which have most obviously been Trillium's moving influence. Rich, Annie and Steve have managed to capture the pure sounds of such greats a Crosby, Stills and Nash, the Beatles, Joni Mithchell, Peter, Paul and Mary, Simon and Garfunkel, Chicago, James Taylor, Fleetwood Mac, just to name a few.

As a young girl, Annie was most taken by the originality and vocal range of the lyrical genius, Joni Mithchell. She also was influenced by other female artist such as Carly Simon, Ricki Lee Jones, Bonnie Raitt, Karia Bonoff, and Shawn Colvin. These female artists along with the sounds of James and Livingston Taylor, Jonathan Edwards, Jackson Browne, Dan Fogelberg, and Crosby, Stills and Nash were popular around the New England scene, and Annie can recall the venues of Newport,RI and Martha's Vinyard as well as the Boston area, where she was able to be inspired by many of her influencial artists in such intimate settings.
